Hon’ble Prime Minister has inaugurated the electronic payment system G2P (Government to Person) for disbursement of the allowances of Social Safety Net (SSN) programs for marginalized people including elderly, physically challenged persons and widows on 17th July, 2018 through a video conferencing from her Gonobhaban residence.

State Minister for Social Welfare and Social Welfare Secretary also spoke on the occasion. Under the system, more than 6.6 million beneficiaries would directly draw the money using mobile apps and biometric verification system. The government has allocated Tk 43.17 billion for marginalised people including elderly, physically challenged persons and widows under the SSN programmes during the current fiscal.
