The Sub-Committee meeting on the National Social Security Strategy (NSSS) Action Plan, (Phase-II, 2021-26) was held on 19 October 2021. The National Social Security Strategy (NSSS) Action Plan is a long-term (2015-26) road map for social security reforms in Bangladesh. The meeting was both virtual and face to face. It was participated by representatives, Local Government Division; Finance Division; Ministry of Food; Planning Division; Primary and Mass Education; Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED); Statistics and Informatics Division; Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief; General Economics Division (GED), Planning Division; Ministry of Social Welfare; Finance Division and Cabinet Division. The Secretary (Coordination and Reforms) of Cabinet Division, Mr. Md. Kamal Hossain, presided over the meeting, facilitated by Mr. Rahat Anwar, Additional Secretary, Coordination, Cabinet Division. Mr. Mohammad Khaled Hasan, Joint Secretary of Cabinet Division presented the paper. The Social Security Policy Support (SSPS) Programme of UNDP provided technical supports for the workshop.
