The National Conference on Social Protection 2025, to be held from 1–3 September 2025 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, will serve as a high-level platform to revisit and shape the future of Bangladesh’s social protection system as the National Social Security Strategy (2015–2026) nears its conclusion. Anchored in the theme “A Journey Towards an Equitable Society”, the conference will bring together government leaders, development partners, civil society, academics, and private sector actors to critically assess progress, share innovative approaches, and chart strategic directions for a more inclusive, shock-responsive, and sustainable framework. With multi-stakeholder dialogues across thematic sessions, the event will generate actionable recommendations to inform the country’s post-2026 social protection strategy, reinforcing Bangladesh’s commitment to poverty reduction, gender equality, and climate resilience within its broader vision of building a more just and equitable society.
