Contextualization of the Family Card Program in Social Protection: What International Experience Suggests for Bangladesh is a policy-focused resource that examines global social protection and family card initiatives to inform the development of Bangladesh’s Family Card Program. Prepared under the SSPS Programme of UNDP Bangladesh, the document analyzes international experiences from countries including Brazil, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Turkey, Kenya, Togo, and Kazakhstan to identify effective practices in digital social protection, beneficiary targeting, and direct service delivery.
The publication highlights how integrated family card systems can improve transparency, reduce exclusion and duplication, strengthen financial inclusion, and ensure efficient distribution of government assistance.
