Meeting on pilot of 2nd generation GRS in resolving social security related grievances held on 27 June 2019

A meeting on the pilot of 2nd generation Grievance Redress System (GRS) in resolving social security related grievances was held on 27 June 2019 at the Cabinet Room (Room 304, 4th Floor, Building no. 01, Bangladesh Secretariat). The meeting was chaired by the Dr. Md. Shamsul Arefin, Senior Secretary, Coordination & Reforms, Cabinet Division. A draft proposal for a pilot to enhance social protection governance facilitating 2nd generation Grievance Redress System (GRS) was presented at the meeting. The specific purpose of the proposed pilot is to find out if an aggrieved person at grassroots level can file grievances using the 2nd generation GRS and his/her grievance is redressed at the appropriate levels. Participants of the meeting included officials from the Cabinet Division, a2i Programme, Local Government Division’s SWAPNO project and SSPS Programme.
