The third meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) of Social Security Policy Support (PSC) was held on 16th August 2018 at the Cabinet Room of the Cabinet Division. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohammad Shafiul Alam, the Cabinet Secretary and the Chairperson of the PSC. Mr. N M Zeaul Alam, Secretary (Coordination & Reforms) and other government officials attended the meeting. Participants of the meeting also included Mr. Md. Faizul Islam, National Project Director, SSPS; Mr. Aminul Arifeen, National Project Manager, SSPS; Mr. Khurshid Alam, Assistant Country Director, UNDP Bangladesh; Mr. Ashekur Rahman, UNDP Bangladesh and relevant project staff.

Subject matters discussed during the meeting included: Confirmation of minutes of the 2nd PSC meeting and implementation progress, Brief on the progress of SSPS Programme and key achievements, Work plans of the project till December 2018, Strengthening social protection for host communities in areas of Cox’s Bazar, Organization of social protection conference/fair and launching of NSSS Action Plan and No cost extension of the project for one year under fiscal year 2019-2020.
