A meeting on social protection was held in Cabinet Division seminar room in Transport Pool Building on 13th August 2018. The meeting was chaired by  Mr. N M Zeaul Alam, Secretary, Coordination & Reforms, Cabinet Division. Social protection focal points from the respective ministries attended the meeting. Participants of the meeting also included Mr. Md. Faizul Islam, National Project Director, SSPS; Mr. Aminul Arifeen, National Project Manager, SSPS and relevant project staff. The meeting was organized by the Cabinet Division and supported by Social Security Policy Support (SSPS) Programme.

Subject matter discussed during the meeting included: Progress of social protection programmes of the ministries, presentation on thematic clusters and ministries’ action plan implementation, formation and scope of various committees on social protection, update of the list of focal points on Social Protection, Grievance Redress System, APA, Gender, ICT, Urban, Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation. The meeting was concluded with an open discussion on different social protection issues.
