The Objectives of the Project are:
1) Ensuring supply of safe water to the people of cyclone prone coastal areas of the country,
2) Promoting environmental sanitation thus reducing water related diseases and post cyclone environmental hazards
3) Hygiene practice and behavioural changes through social mobilisation and community participation.
Local Implementation: (who implements the programme at the local level): The sponsoring Ministry/Division is Local govt., Rural Development & Co-operatives/Local Govt. Division and the Executive Agency is the Department of Public Health Engineering.
